She is Associate Professor at the Kansai University's Faculty of Economics in Japan. She received her PhD at the Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) of the Johns Hopkins University in May 2009 and was a Max Weber Postdoctoral Fellow at the European University Institute (EUI) in 2009-2010. She published her first monograph, The Politics of Financial Markets and Regulation: The United States, Japan, and Germany, in 2014. Her research focuses on international political economy, the politics of financial regulation, and European integration.
