Dr. Lei (Jane) Ji is a Max Weber Fellow at the European University Institute.
Dr. Ji's general area of research interest is the long-run dynamic behavior of the aggregate economy. Her research combines elements of three areas of economics: growth theory’s approach to dynamic general equilibrium, industrial organization’s insights into the endogeneity of market structure, and traditional trade theory’s emphasis on comparative advantage. Her research topics focus on the interaction of trade and growth, the nature of directed technical progress, and the role of informative producer services in the general equilibrium dynamics of the economy. Please see Research for detail.
She has four years of experience as an independent instructor during graduate study. She has taught courses in undergraduate level macroeconomics and microeconomics, and master-level international trade.
She will be attending the AEA meeting in Chicago for interviews, and she will stay in the U.S. for all of January 2012 to be available for fly-outs.
