I work at the Department of Economics at Ozyegin University. My fields of interest are Macroeconomics and Labor Economics with a focus on dynamics of unemployment and female employment.

I received my PhD from the University of Texas at Austin in 2009. During the academic year 2009 - 2010, I was a Max Weber Fellow at the European University Institute. I joined the Central Bank of Turkey in 2010. I worked as an economist at the Research and Monetary Policy Department until 2012, and at the Istanbul School of Central Banking from 2013 to 2017. I was a visiting scholar at the Department of Economics at Bogazici University during the Spring of 2018, and adjunt faculty at the Department of Economics at Sabanci University and Ozyegin University during 2018-2019 terms.
