I am a part-time faculty at the Department of Economics at Ozyegin University. My fields of interest are Macroeconomics and Labor Economics with a focus on dynamics of unemployment and female employment.

I received my PhD from the University of Texas at Austin in 2009. During the academic year 2009 - 2010, I was a Max Weber Fellow at the European University Institute. I joined the Central Bank of Turkey in 2010. I worked as an economist at the Research and Monetary Policy Department until 2012, and at the Istanbul School of Central Banking from 2013 to 2017. I was a visiting scholar at the Department of Economics at Bogazici University during the Spring of 2018, and a part-time faculty at the Department of Economics at Sabanci University during the Summer 2018 term.
