I am a Lecturer in Philosophy at the University of Fort Hare, East London, South Africa. My focus is on Political Philosophy. Previously I was a Max Weber Fellow at the European University Instiute (Sept 2015 - Dec 2016). I completed my DPhil in 2015 at Nuffield College, University of Oxford, working with Prof. David Miller and Prof. Cecile Fabre. My DPhil investigates the responsibilities that citizens qua citizen have in light of global injustice.
My current research continues to focus on global injustice and citizenship. I am working on a series of articles on the duties between states, as well as pursuing a book project entitled: Citizenship in a Globalized World. I have also recently contributed to the debate around the brain drain crisis.
