I am a post-doctoral fellow at the Max Planck Institute for the Study of Societies in Cologne. My main field of research is comparative political economy with a focus on welfare state and labour market reforms, the politics of labour migration and the role of organised interests in policymaking. My work has been or is about to be published in Governance, Social Policy and Administration, Policy and Politics and the European Journal of Industrial Relations.

Before joining the MPIfG, I was a Max Weber Fellow at the European University Institute in Florence. I obtained my PhD in political science from the University of Lausanne in June 2010 and have held research positions at the University of Zurich, the University of Amsterdam, University College Dublin and Johns Hopkins University.
